Position Overview:
As a key member of the AWS team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the cloud strategies of our diverse clientele.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is dedicated to fostering growth and driving revenue across a wide spectrum of clients, from small businesses to large enterprises, including public sector organizations.

In your capacity as an Enterprise Solutions Architect, you will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through their most significant business challenges by designing innovative, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions.

Collaborating closely with various internal teams, you will gain insights into customer needs and identify opportunities for enhancing our services, ensuring we remain customer-obsessed.

As a thought leader, you will create and present valuable content that empowers our clients to leverage AWS for transformative growth.

This role offers the chance to engage with customers at different stages of their cloud journey, enabling you to make a tangible impact on their growth objectives.

You will challenge conventional thinking, inspiring both customers and AWS to explore and achieve what they once deemed impossible.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving technical discussions with clients, delving into intricate details to address complex challenges and develop scalable cloud architectures.
  • Acting as a thought leader within the community, contributing to knowledge sharing through presentations, white papers, blogs, and workshops.
  • Representing the customer’s voice to influence the development of new features and services on the AWS platform.
  • Serving as a vital technical member of the Solutions Architecture team, influencing decision-makers across various domains to ensure customer success in building applications on AWS.

The range of clients you will work with spans numerous industries, including Healthcare, Life Sciences, Travel, Transportation, Logistics, Real Estate, Manufacturing, and Automotive.

As a Solutions Architect, you will manage the overall technical relationship with clients, providing recommendations on security, cost-effectiveness, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

To achieve this, you will collaborate with account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, and data analytics.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT development or consulting within the software or internet sectors.
  • Proven experience in customer implementations and developing technology solutions that guide IT transformation towards cloud computing.
  • A collaborative team player with a track record of mentoring and coaching motivated technologists.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.
  • Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting.
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies from a development and operations perspective.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems design, large-scale automation, database design, and articulating business value from technical solutions.
  • Possession of one or more valid AWS Certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional.
  • Exceptional presentation and whiteboarding skills, comfortable engaging with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers.
