We are seeking an experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Soho Farmhouse. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the development and implementation of new menu options, ensuring that our food offering is seasonal, relevant, and appealing to our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development
- Recruit and train new employees to ensure a high level of service and quality
- Adhere to allergy procedures and food preferences to ensure a safe and enjoyable dining experience for our members and guests
- Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Ensure that all kitchen operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to HACCP guidelines
- 1-2 years' experience in a busy high-profile kitchen in a similar senior role
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
- Sense of urgency and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for food and beverage, with a focus on Japanese cuisine
- Flexible and available to work varying shift times, including evenings, weekends, and opens and closes
- Must be over the age of 18
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects by hand
- Able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
- Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as required
- Subsidised transport rate offered from Chipping Norton and Banbury
