Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and innovative team in the Intermediate Care service. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist community therapy assessment and treatment to improve health and independence for patients in their own homes and residential care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage a clinical caseload with autonomy, providing high-quality rehabilitation to patients with complex and/or multiple needs.
  • Develop and implement goal-oriented intervention programs to optimize recovery potential and facilitate discharge.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to provide supervision, training, and development of Basic Grade Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in planning, development, and evaluation of Occupational Therapy services within the clinical areas.
  • Contribute to clinical leadership and supervision, facilitating a culture of learning and reflective practice.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current HPC Registration.
  • Ability to demonstrate specialized clinical reasoning and treatment skills.
  • Good level of clinical reasoning, handling, and treatment skills.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, in isolation, and on own initiative.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of NHS/Clinical Governance issues.
  • Demonstrate the ability to risk assess for own and others' work area and caseloads.
