Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Intermediate Care team, working within the Neighbourhood Rehabilitation Service (NRS) across Barnsley Community. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist community therapy assessment and treatment to improve health and independence.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage a clinical caseload with autonomy, providing high-quality rehabilitation to patients in their own homes and local care homes.
- Develop and implement goal-oriented intervention programmes to support patients with complex and/or multiple needs.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to provide supervision, training, and development of Basic Grade Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in planning, development, and evaluation of Occupational Therapy services within the clinical areas.
- Contribute to clinical leadership and supervision, facilitating a culture of learning and reflective practice.
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Current HPC Registration.
- Ability to demonstrate specialized clinical reasoning and treatment skills.
- Good level of clinical reasoning, handling, and treatment skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Awareness of NHS/Clinical Governance issues.
- Ability to risk assess for own and others' work area and caseloads.
The successful candidate will work within a dynamic and innovative team, committed to personal development and providing allocated time for CPD, training, and wellbeing. A vehicle to undertake travel is essential, and the ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, is required.
