As a key member of our Countryside team, you will play a vital role in managing Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve, one of Europe's most important wetlands. Your passion for conservation and the outdoors will inspire others as you strive to ensure that landscapes are beautifully presented and continue to take our visitors' breath away.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a team of Rangers, developing and delivering work programs to meet conservation and access outcomes
• Lead on compliance, including writing risk assessments and safety procedures
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve Conservation Performance Indicator targets
• Engage with visitors to promote the value of our work and inspire a love of nature
Requirements
• Proven experience in land, access, and conservation management
• Strong team leadership and line-management skills
• Practical skills in estate management, including chainsaw use and tractor driving
• Ability to work safely and lead on compliance
