Financial Director

Job Summary:
Robertson Bell is seeking a highly skilled Financial Director to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key player in the finance division, you will oversee critical month-end reporting, manage and review accounts, and collaborate closely with department heads to enhance financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Oversee month-end reporting and ensure the accuracy of financial reports, including insightful commentaries.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, focusing on rental income, property maintenance, and debt management.
- Financial Performance Review: Conduct regular meetings with department heads to review financial performance and address varying levels of financial literacy.
- Financial Support: Support teams with invoicing queries and collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Director on financial matters.
- Financial Reporting for Board Meetings: Prepare financial reports for quarterly board meetings and coordinate with auditors to ensure smooth year-end reconciliations.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Be a fully qualified Accountant or finalist with strong management accounting knowledge.
- Experience: Have experience in the care and support sector or come from audit, practice, or not-for-profit backgrounds. Public sector experience is not required.
- Skills: Possess advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation and functions like SumIfs, VLOOKUPs, and Index Matching, with the ability to present financial data effectively.
- Business Acumen: Have experience in management accounting or finance business partnering; year-end accounting experience is a plus but not essential.
- Communication Skills: Be an effective communicator who can adapt to different business needs and understand the care and support sector's nuances, whether you have extensive experience or are an emerging professional.
