Position Overview

We are seeking two skilled Field Engineers to enhance our dynamic IT Service Provider team, driven by continuous growth and success.

This role offers an opportunity to transition from conventional maintenance and repair tasks, as the organization aims to emphasize proactive support and automation.

You will be entrusted with delivering on-site technical assistance, diagnosing issues, and maintaining IT systems for our clientele. Collaborating closely with our support team and clients, you will resolve technical challenges, execute installations, and guarantee the optimal functioning of IT infrastructure. This position demands a blend of technical knowledge, exceptional customer service, and the capability to operate independently in various environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and deploy IT equipment, including servers, desktops, laptops, networking devices, and peripherals.
  • Perform routine maintenance activities such as software updates, system backups, and hardware inspections to ensure seamless operation of IT systems.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients during on-site engagements, delivering technical support, guidance, and solutions in a professional manner.
  • Address urgent client inquiries and IT emergencies, providing prompt and effective resolutions.
  • Possess a strong understanding of IT systems, including Windows and Linux operating systems, network configurations, and prevalent business software.
  • Demonstrate experience in hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repair, encompassing servers, PCs, printers, and networking equipment.
  • Exhibit a solid grasp of networking principles (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and experience in configuring and troubleshooting network devices.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to diverse client environments and technical challenges.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering trust and establishing a strong rapport with key clients, serving as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert, always prioritizing their best interests and moving away from a managed service approach.

While there is no requirement to be present in an office setting, the clients served in this role are primarily located in the North West region. A vehicle will be provided for travel needs.
