Position Overview:

Role: Sports Education Instructor (Key Stages 3 and 4)

Location: To be determined

Contract Type: Full-time (permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging sports education lessons for Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students, instilling a passion for athletics, fitness, and healthy living.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive curriculum that includes a diverse range of sports and physical activities, customized to meet the unique needs and capabilities of KS3 and KS4 learners.
  • Encourage teamwork, leadership, and good sportsmanship through interactive and inclusive teaching methods.
  • Evaluate and track student progress, offering constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Prepare students for assessments, ensuring they possess the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and engage in professional development to enhance teaching methodologies and stay current with trends in sports education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Education or a related discipline.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Sports Education to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • In-depth knowledge of various sports, fitness techniques, and health-related subjects pertinent to the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students and foster positive relationships.
  • Ability to cultivate a safe and inclusive learning atmosphere that supports the physical and emotional well-being of students.
