As an Information and Communication Technology Instructor, you will be tasked with delivering engaging and insightful lessons to students across various age groups and skill levels. You will design lesson plans and supplementary materials that cover essential topics in computer systems, software applications, and programming.
In this role, you will be instrumental in cultivating a positive educational environment. The ideal candidate should possess a strong grasp of the subject matter and a genuine enthusiasm for making technology education accessible and enjoyable for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive and engaging Information and Communication Technology lessons that align with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic pursuits.
- Utilise differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
- Incorporate innovative and interactive teaching techniques, leveraging technology and real-world applications to make the subject matter relevant and engaging.
- Regularly evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development. Collaborate with colleagues to review assessment data and enhance teaching methodologies.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages a love for learning and promotes respectful interactions among students.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Teaching certification in Information Technology or Business Studies.
- PGCE/QTS/QTLS.
- Experience teaching IT or Business Studies at the secondary level is preferred but not mandatory.
- Commitment to the principles of the school's curriculum.
