About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Civil Maritime Engineer to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will play a vital role in shaping our maritime engineering projects and delivering high-quality solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct teams of engineers and technicians in the design and delivery of maritime engineering projects.
  • Develop and implement design standards and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated design solutions and meet project milestones.
  • Grow and develop the civil engineering capability within the practice, including identifying and developing talent.
  • Stay up-to-date with current UK and European design standards, including BS6349, and apply this knowledge to ensure compliance and best practice.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design within the port and maritime environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of civil and structural design of port and maritime infrastructure, including berthing and mooring of vessels and transit of people and goods.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
