About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Civil Maritime Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our maritime engineering team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our cities and environments.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

About You:

  • Chartered Civil / Structural Engineer.
  • Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design within the port and maritime environment.
  • Sound knowledge in the civil and structural design of port and maritime infrastructure supporting port operations, the berthing and mooring of vessels, and the transit of people and goods around the globe.
  • Working experience with current UK and European design standards, including BS6349.
  • Proficiency in the use of and designing with appropriate FEA packages.
