Role Summary

In this pivotal role, reporting to the Global Head of IT Governance & Controls, you will oversee the management and governance of Technology Risks and Controls in alignment with the firm's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the execution of the IT risk management framework and processes, supporting the global implementation of the Enhanced Risk Management Framework (ERMF).
  • Oversee risk reporting for essential IT processes, delivering regular group risk reports that encompass key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs).
  • Ensure Technology policies are in compliance with Group standards, managing amendments and changes in accordance with relevant governance bodies.
  • Prepare and support the Technology Risk Forum as part of the risk governance structure, assisting regional Risk Committees with Technology-related data.
  • Maintain the risk register (Riskonnect), ensuring control requirements, attestations, assurance, and event management are effectively managed.
  • Support the development and management of controls, including attestation, remediation plans, and assurance programs to demonstrate oversight of key controls.
  • Collaborate to enhance existing tools that provide oversight of controls within the first line of defense.
  • Assist with internal and external Technology audits, including preparation, remediation, validation, and management responses.
Required Experience and Competencies

Essential:
  • Extensive IT experience within the Financial Services sector.
  • Strong background in IT Risk & Control within an Operational Risk environment.
  • Demonstrated capabilities, with a results-driven and team-oriented approach.
  • Proven experience in Risk Management, Lines of Defense, or IT functions.
  • In-depth understanding of Technology operations.
  • Accountability for tasks, driving them to successful completion.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in dynamic and competitive environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of drafting formal correspondence on behalf of senior leaders.
