Job Title: Adult Mental Health PractitionerJob Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our Crisis Team, you will work with children and young people who are experiencing mental health issues, providing assessment, treatment, and support to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessment and treatment to children and young people with mental health needs
  • Promote the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people
  • Work with children, young people, and their carers in a mental health or other complex care setting
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice in assessment and risk management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide timely access to specialist services
Requirements:
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in mental health or a related field
  • Clinical/therapeutic knowledge and skills in mental health
  • Experience in assessment and risk management, and ability to implement evidence-based practice
  • Experience of safeguarding children and young people
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Equality and Diversity
  • Dip SW or relevant mental health profession
  • Postgraduate qualification in mental health (e.g., CBT, Family Therapy, Counselling)
