Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented People Operations Coordinator to join our team at J D Wetherspoon plc. As a key member of our People Operations department, you will be responsible for providing first-line support in personnel- and pay-related matters and administration services for our pub-based employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration and Data Management: Complete personnel and payroll administration tasks, including checking proof-of-right-to-work documentation, responding to recruitment queries, and creating and updating employee records.
  • Payroll Processing: Input data to Resourcelink to ensure accurate employee payments and assist with weekly and monthly payroll preparation.
  • Employee Support: Respond to employee queries, process information, and provide timely resolutions to pay- and contract-related matters.
  • Shared Inbox Management: Manage shared inboxes as part of the team, providing timely responses and supporting knowledge-sharing to increase training and awareness in our pubs.
  • Record Keeping: Create and update employee records for various pay- and contract-related tasks, including new starters, promotions, leavers, holidays, pay adjustments, transfers, and accommodation.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Run reports to support business decisions and aid payroll reconciliation/control checks.
  • Communication: Issue letters and confirmation of pay- and contract-related changes to employees and operations.
  • Administrative Tasks: File employee documentation accurately and support defining new processes, procedures, and policies.

Requirements:

  • Customer Service Focus: Provide excellent customer service, with a pleasant and confident email manner, and a happy-to-help approach.
  • Strong Commitment and Motivation: Demonstrate a strong commitment and motivation, with a respect for deadlines, ownership of tasks, and working as a team.
  • Communication Skills: Possess confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels in the business and contribute in meetings.
  • System Skills: Have good system skills, with knowledge of Resourcelink and Microsoft Word and Excel, including complex formulae/functions/mail management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Personnel and Payroll Knowledge: Possess personnel and payroll knowledge through pub experience.
  • System Knowledge: Have good system skills, with knowledge of Resourcelink.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Possess Microsoft Word and Excel skills, including complex formulae/functions/mail management.

Benefits:

  • Salary: £27,000 per annum
