About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Domestic and Sexual Assault Team (DASAT) as a DASAT Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support to victims of domestic abuse.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support to adults who have experienced abuse, with a focus on women and their children.
- Work collaboratively with statutory and third sector organizations to promote the best interests of individuals and their children.
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of feminist analysis of violence against women.
- Support victims of domestic abuse through practical, emotional, and advocacy services.
- Develop and maintain excellent report writing, IT, and communication skills.
Requirements
- Operational experience working with adults who have experienced abuse.
- Understanding of the complexities of trauma and abuse and its impact on individuals and their children.
- Ability to work as part of a team and in partnership with other organizations.
- Good understanding of feminist analysis of violence against women.
