Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Asset Integrity Team at the ConocoPhillips Norsea Terminal in Teesside. As Fabrication Technical Authority, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of projects and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a large FM term contract, overseeing a team of contract personnel and ensuring compliance with site standards and legislation.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on fabrication-related matters, evaluating and managing responses to technical queries.
  • Lead project management of a portfolio of fabrication-based projects, developing scope of work documents and evaluating tender packages.
  • Conduct audits and readiness reviews to ensure projects align with key delivery milestones and comply with the project delivery process.
  • Liaise with the Operations team to ensure permits and operational controls are in place, and monitor contractor compliance with site working requirements and safety performance.
Requirements
  • Degree-educated in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably with chartered status.
  • Strong experience in fabrication and mechanical work, with a proven track record in cost management and contract ownership.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications and SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Able to adapt to unexpected challenges and shifting priorities, with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
