Financial Director

A highly skilled Financial Controller is required to lead the Finance department in a thriving Manufacturing business. This role will oversee financial operations and contribute to strategic decision-making.
About the Role
The Financial Controller will work closely with the CFO to manage financial operations, including:
- Managing a team of Finance Assistants
- Assisting in cash flow reporting and forecasting
- Liaising with bankers and external credit providers
- Ensuring balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly Group management reporting pack
- Monitoring and controlling overhead expenditure
- Supporting annual budget process
- Assisting in annual audits
- Driving improvement in SAP governance and process compliance
- Collating annual statutory accounts, partnering with senior management when required
- Monitoring all tax and regulatory compliance issues
- Supporting implementation projects to upgrade, group-wide roll-out programme
Requirements
The successful Financial Controller will have:
- Formal qualifications (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or QBE
- Previous Manufacturing experience
- Excellent analytical skills with strong experience of tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik
- Experience of developing a small team
- Strong analytical skills and high level of attention to detail
- Experience in using SAP is desirable
- Strong understanding of the Industrial / Manufacturing industry / costing experience
- Must drive due to location
What We Offer
