Job Title: Financial Controller
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our client, a leading Manufacturing business, on a full-time and permanent basis. As a key member of the Finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing a team of Finance Assistants, and providing strategic support to the CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a team of Finance Assistants to ensure efficient financial operations
- Assist in cash flow reporting and forecasting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information
- Liaise with external credit providers and bankers as required
- Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis
- Assist in the preparation of monthly Group management reporting pack
- Monitor and control overhead expenditure
- Support annual budget process and implementation
- Assist in annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Drive improvement in SAP governance and process compliance
- Collate annual statutory accounts and support senior management as required
- Monitor tax and regulatory compliance issues
- Support implementation projects to upgrade and roll out SAP group-wide
Requirements:
- Formally qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or QBE with relevant Manufacturing experience
- Excellent analytical skills with strong experience of tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik
- Experience of developing a small team
- Strong analytical skills and high level of attention to detail
- Experience in using SAP is desirable
- Strong understanding of the Industrial / Manufacturing industry and costing experience
- The ability to drive due to location
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary range around £60,000, subject to skills and experience
