  • Deliver customized and insightful advice to clients through comprehensive reviews and presentations, assessing their financial aspirations and proposing investment advisory strategies.
  • Effectively communicate solutions that best meet clients' financial requirements, including core banking services and Investment & Life Priority™ offerings.
  • Collaborate with Financial Advisor teams to expand their networks by sharing pertinent market insights and discussing new product offerings as appropriate.
  • Access and utilize the full range of resources available within the bank to enhance client experiences.
  • Cultivate and expand a personal book of business to meet and surpass established financial targets, demonstrating the capability to advance to the next level as an advisor.
  • Prioritize client inquiries and facilitate introductions to suitable internal service providers based on client needs and asset levels.

Advisor Development Program (ADP) Journey:

As a Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor (MFSA), you will receive essential training and mentorship, guiding you on a structured path to becoming a successful and independent financial advisor. You will work with both affluent and high-net-worth clients, identifying their needs, nurturing relationships, evaluating investment goals, and formulating investment recommendations that align with their objectives. This role will equip you with the relationship management skills necessary to thrive in an Elite Growth Practice (EGP). From self-promotion to managing your own practice, we will prepare you for success in your career journey.

Support and Development:

  • Receive training and personalized mentorship from dedicated managers invested in your success. You will enroll in our Academy to develop as an advisor, with significant growth potential.
  • Build valuable connections to expand your network and business. Starting in a Merrill branch, you will engage with Merrill financial advisors, institutional retirement participants, and high-net-worth clients.
  • Provide confident advice through client reviews and presentations, including assessments of financial goals and recommending investment strategies to help clients achieve their objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently holds Series 7 & 65 (or 66) licenses.
  • Two years of experience in the financial services industry and/or a sales environment with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • At least one year of experience in the investments sector, including investment training and comprehensive knowledge of investment products and services.
  • Self-motivated individual with effective time management skills.
  • Proven ability to set and achieve goals.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Effective collaboration with others to accomplish objectives.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with all clients.
  • Capable of managing goals, navigating complexities, prioritizing tasks, and executing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eager to learn, adaptable to new information, and focused on finding optimal solutions for clients.
  • Thorough in incorporating relevant regulatory due diligence into daily activities and long-term client strategies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to foster partnerships and promote lead generation.
  • Experience balancing investment management, sales activities, and new client development.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to multitask in a demanding environment.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business-related field.
  • Additional professional designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and/or Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) are preferred.
  • Possession of insurance licenses is advantageous.
