At settle, we're committed to providing outstanding service to our residents. As a Financial Wellbeing Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for all welfare benefits and debt matters, delivering excellent customer service and ensuring our residents receive the support they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offer residents practical help with basic budget advice, benefit entitlement, and rent payment.
  • Provide debt advice and sustainable debt solutions to enable residents to sustain their tenancy.
  • Assist with applications for benefits or Discretionary Housing Payments, where necessary, and advise on accessing other support services.
  • Onboard new residents successfully by conducting affordability checks and identifying support needs.
  • Manage a complex caseload independently and effectively communicate with residents in emotional and sensitive situations.
  • Record all service delivery activities, including agreeing affordable repayment arrangements with residents.
Requirements
  • Recent experience in providing debt advice and completion of the Certificate in Money Advice Practice.
  • Previous experience within the welfare and benefit sector, with a basic knowledge of housing legislation and working with both Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality customer care and a full UK driving licence.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and emotional intelligence.
