Job DescriptionWe're seeking a skilled Development Manager to join our team in the North West. As a Development Manager, you'll play a key role in providing 'developer' expertise to positively influence the strategic direction of our projects. This includes helping to write business cases, managing viability, and undertaking financial modelling.
You'll work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their objectives. You'll also be responsible for managing consultant teams, securing statutory approvals, and driving scheme efficiencies.
We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of RIBA design stages, planning procedures, development control, and building regulations. You'll need excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages and Argus Developer.
Responsibilities- Manage projects through all development phases
- Work with clients to develop business cases and financial models
- Secure statutory approvals and manage consultant teams
- Drive scheme efficiencies and manage consultant appointments
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with external professional consultants and public sector stakeholders
- Manage consultant teams to successfully appoint a main contractor for project delivery
- Ensure a thorough handover has been undertaken with the project manager for the delivery phase
- Construction / Property related degree
- Professional accreditation or working towards one, such as RICS / CIOB
- CSCS card, although this is not essential as training will be given
- Full clean driving license
- 5 years post-qualification or in a similar role
- Experience of initiating and leading a development project, completing option appraisals, drawing together a design team and managing appointments
- Experience in mixed-use developments and/or office developments
- Experience of all development phases
