Job Title: Reception Team Leader/Senior Receptionist

Are you a skilled Reception professional looking to take on a leadership role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Reception Team Leader/Senior Receptionist to join our team at Wickham Market Medical Centre.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to provide day-to-day support, leadership, and guidance to our practice reception team. As a Reception Team Leader/Senior Receptionist, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and professional manner is maintained, and providing cover to the reception team when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all reception duties are completed to the highest standard.
  • Monitor staff attendance, sickness absence, and annual leave.
  • Support the Operations Manager in the recruitment and induction of all new reception staff.
  • Collect accurate and timely activity and performance information.
  • Conduct training of team members to maximize their potential.
  • Ensure mandatory training is completed.
  • Work with the Operations Manager and other members of the practice to identify areas for improvement, including technology, and assist in change management where appropriate.
  • Undertake specific assigned tasks, project support, or development work that may arise during changes to the NHS.
  • Deal with patient complaints relating to front desk/reception services.
  • Answer the telephone within a reasonable time, dealing with requests and enquiries courteously and politely.
  • Provide support and ensure training for current and new staff is carried out.
  • Train staff on practice IT systems as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in team supervision and/or management.
  • Off- and on-the-job training through management training schemes.
