Job Title: ICT Support Engineer (Critical Systems)

We are seeking an experienced ICT Support Engineer (Critical Systems) to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our Specialist Technical Support Team, you will be responsible for delivering expert technical support across a range of critical systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level technical support for critical systems and applications, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Supervise and guide colleagues within the Specialist Technical Support Team to ensure a high-quality, end-to-end ICT service.
  • Manage incidents and changes in line with ITIL best practices to minimize disruption.
  • Support and maintain key infrastructure components, including Windows Server, VMware, M365, and networks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within command and control systems, ensuring critical services remain operational.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Strong background in application support and Windows Server environments.
  • Experience in VMware and M365.
  • Experience with ITIL incident and change management processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach to support.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments, especially within Operations & Communications Centres.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with command and control systems (Saab SAFE, Sopra Steria STORM, Capita ControlWorks, etc.).
  • Knowledge of networking and telephony systems.
  • Experience in database support (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with Airwave radio systems and Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Exposure to load balancing (JetNexus ) and monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds).
  • A background in cybersecurity or supporting policing/emergency services technology.
