Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Podiatrist to join our team at the NHS. As a Podiatrist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with specialized care needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses of patients with a range of podiatric conditions, including wound management, nail surgery, and ulcer care.
  • Treatment and Intervention: Deliver evidence-based podiatry interventions to maintain patient mobility and independence, including specialist treatments such as wound management and nail surgery.
  • Continuing Professional Development: Maintain high-quality clinical skills and ensure ongoing professional development in line with national and local guidelines.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and contribute to a positive team environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Podiatry with Local Anaesthesia certificate, currently registered by HCPC, and Member of the Royal College of Podiatrists.
  • Experience: Competence in nail surgery and LA, experience dealing with patients who have barriers to communication, and competence in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of patients to degree level.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent organizational skills, articulate communication, flexible approach, and excellent IT skills.
Working Arrangements

This is a permanent position, and the successful candidate will be required to work in multiple locations, including Amersham Hospital and Brookside Clinic, Aylesbury.
