We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our Student Voice Department, driving the development of our policy and democratic governance structures. As Student Voice Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the work of our Student Voice Coordinators, ensuring the effective representation of student interests and the delivery of our ambitious new strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Student Voice Department, including the Student Voice Coordinators and part-time member of student staff
  • Develop and implement policy and research output, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives
  • Oversee the delivery of our biannual student elections and sector-leading Student Panels
  • Support elected student representatives and campaign groups, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure effective academic representation and student engagement

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of inspiring and motivating teams
  • Exceptional organisation and planning skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and present it in a concise and accessible manner
  • Experience of delivering high-quality research and policy output, with a focus on student voice and representation
  • Knowledge of Higher Education or the student movement, although not essential
