Tes is supporting the appointment of a Deputy Headteacher to join a school based in London.

The school is looking for a Deputy Headteacher to join their new School in South East London. The school will have capacity for 34 pupils ages 5-16 years old and is due to open April 2025. They're recruiting for a Deputy Headteacher to help set up and grow their new school.
Up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience (not pro rata)Monday to FridayTerm Time onlyPermanentAbout the role
To provide a high-quality education service for their students in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body. To work with the Head Teacher, leadership team and other stakeholders to secure high standards throughout the school.
Key Task Areas and Responsibilities
To comply with good safeguarding procedures and principles as detailed by the local safeguarding boardTo participate in the process of assessment of referralsTo act as overall curriculum coordinator and manager across the schoolTo act as the lead teacher for the positive support of behaviour that may challengeTo work as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team which encompasses education, residential care and the clinical teamTo monitor progress and targets to ensure that each individual student can achieve planned outcomesEssential criteria
Relevant experience of teaching pupils and young people with SEMH needs and/or challenging behavioursRelevant experience of teaching pupils and young people with complex needsExperience of managing staffManaging budgets effectively and ensuring cost efficiencyDegree and QTSWhy join?
