Regional Working Capital Optimization Lead

Mission Statement

The Regional Working Capital Optimization Lead is responsible for driving continuous improvements in working capital processes, policies, and commercial arrangements across Western Europe. By aligning optimal inventory levels from manufacturing sites to local markets, you will enable sustainable cash improvement throughout the entire cash-to-cash cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trade Working Capital Management: Oversee the management of trade working capital for Western European markets, ensuring efficient capital allocation related to trade operations. This includes:
    • Monitoring, optimizing, and leading DSO targets fulfillment with a focus on overdue reduction and payment terms optimization.
    • Coordinating across countries and invoice-to-cash teams to establish proper governance and efficient processes for collection purposes.
    • Leading payment terms practices in line with Group requirements.
  • Free Cash Flow Reporting and Analysis:
    • Interface with countries to establish reliable NWC and Free-Cash-Flow forecasts.
    • Monthly monitoring of cash flow performance against targets in collaboration with regional finance teams.
  • Inventory Management and Supply Chain Expertise: Possess significant experience in inventory management and supply chain processes, understanding the drivers of excess stocks throughout the Forecast to Fulfill process.
  • Order-to-Cash and Purchase-to-Pay Cycles: Demonstrate a strong understanding of Order-to-Cash and Purchase-to-Pay cycles, with a focus on inventory management and supply chain processes.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Building: Collaborate effectively with local country teams, central supply chain, and finance functions to ensure working capital performance aligns with best practices and reporting consistency across the organization. Actively build and maintain strong relationships between Central Finance, Local Finance, Supply Chain, and other relevant teams.
  • Data Interpretation and Problem Solving: Analyze data and insights to solve problems and present solutions effectively, both orally and in writing. Provide advice and drive action to implement identified opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, Supply Chain/Logistics, Operational Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in a high-performing consulting firm or within audit, demonstrating understanding of financial statements and reporting, and experience working in a Private Equity owned business.
  • Proven track record of success in working capital optimization, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
