Maintenance Engineer

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a skilled Maintenance Control Engineer to join their client, a global manufacturer based in Cheshire. The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Manager and be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the factory by resolving breakdowns and delivering maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:- Read and interpret engineering specifications, design drawings, operations manuals, and manufacturer's instructions.
- Attend to breakdowns onsite, ensuring rapid response and minimizing plant equipment and machinery breakdown time.
- Carry out repairs to plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently, either alone or as part of a team.
- Identify incorrect equipment operation and locate sources of error, observing equipment in operation and using appropriate test and measurement instruments.
- Make running adjustments to parts of devices and control instruments to ensure correct function.
- Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance.
- Liaise effectively with external contractors.
- A time-served maintenance technician with previous, related industrial maintenance experience.
- A HNC or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
