Job Title: Maintenance Control Engineer

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a skilled Maintenance Control Engineer to join their client, a global manufacturer based in the UK.

The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Manager and be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the factory by resolving breakdowns and delivering maintenance. The role also involves driving improvement across the site in terms of new machinery, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reading and interpreting engineering specifications, design drawings, operations manuals, and manufacturer's instructions.
  • Attending to breakdowns onsite to minimize plant equipment and machinery downtime.
  • Carrying out repairs to plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently.
  • Identifying incorrect equipment operation and locating sources of error.
  • Making running adjustments to parts of devices and control instruments to ensure correct function.
  • Delivering on plant uptime and maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance.
  • Liaising effectively with external contractors.

Requirements:

  • A time-served maintenance technician with previous, related industrial maintenance experience.
  • A HNC or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
