Wood is seeking a highly experienced Senior Instrument Designer to contribute to our client's projects within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries.

This role offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic multi-disciplinary engineering team, collaborating with industry leaders on challenging and impactful projects. The position will be based in Glasgow, operating on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Translate complex engineering designs into practical and executable plans for instrumentation systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers from various disciplines to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation within overall project design.
  • Interpret and apply industry standards, material specifications, P&IDs, and Line Lists to ensure compliance and accuracy in design deliverables.
  • Utilize advanced CAD/D software to create detailed instrument drawings and documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Possess a minimum ISCED level 5 short-cycle tertiary education in an engineering discipline.
  • Hold valid Offshore Certifications and demonstrate willingness to work offshore.
Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of materials, methods, and best practices within the instrumentation field.
  • Possess a strong grasp of related engineering principles and practices, backed by extensive experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector.
  • Exhibit proficiency in interpreting technical documents such as engineering standards, material specifications, P&IDs, and Line Lists.
  • Be a skilled user of CAD/D software for creating detailed instrument drawings and documentation.
