Job Opportunity at Wood

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior C&I Engineer to support our projects on a minimum 12-month contract duration, based in our offices at St. Vincent's Plaza, Glasgow. We offer a hybrid working structure with a minimum of 2 days in the office.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior C&I Engineer to work on various projects across Wood's portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation and control, with experience in working on projects for the Energy, Chemicals, and Refining Sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement instrumentation and control solutions for projects
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers
  • Contribute to the development of project deliverables, including specifications and interface management
  • Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs
Requirements
  • Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and development of Instrument Engineering deliverables
  • Chartered Engineer status as a Member of the Institute of Measurement and Control (IMC) or Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)
  • Experience with specification control and safety system upgrades and modifications
  • Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation and control systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
