About Our Commercial Audit Team

Our Commercial Audit team at Grant Thornton is a dynamic and growing team that provides audit services to a wide range of clients across various sectors, including manufacturing, distribution, retail, and technology. As an Audit Manager within our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, develop your technical skills, and take on leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a large portfolio of audit clients, providing technical expertise and guidance to junior team members.
  • Solve complex technical matters for clients, project manage client work, and develop and implement audit strategies.
  • Oversee and develop a team of auditors to the highest standard, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Take opportunities for wider department responsibilities through training and pitching new projects.

Requirements

  • Professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA, or CIPFA) with post-qualification experience.
  • Confidence in managing a large portfolio of audit clients.
  • Experience of managing audits of large companies, dealing with complex technical matters, and project management.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP/FRS102 and experience of IFRS and auditing listed companies.
  • Extensive experience of using audit software and Microsoft packages.
