**Job Summary**

Randstad Construction & Property is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of a new build modular school project in South London. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Site Management:** Oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with the project plan and relevant regulations.
  • **Team Management:** Manage and coordinate the activities of trade subcontractors, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • **Quality Control:** Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that the work meets the required quality standards, and identify and report any defects or issues.
  • **Safety Management:** Ensure that the site is a safe working environment for all personnel, and that all relevant health and safety procedures are followed.
  • **Communication:** Liaise with the client, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that the project is delivered to their satisfaction.
  • **Problem-Solving:** Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the project, and implement corrective actions to prevent similar problems occurring in the future.

Requirements:

  • **Experience:** Proven experience of working as a Site Manager on a construction project, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • **Qualifications:** Relevant qualifications in construction management, such as a degree in construction management or a related field.
  • **Skills:** Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • **Certifications:** Relevant certifications, such as a Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) card or a Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate.
