Job Summary: Wates is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our Planned Works division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects, focusing on safety, quality, and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement project plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Site Management: Oversee site operations, including the management of operatives, sub-contractors, and suppliers, to maintain quality control and ensure health and safety standards are met.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to ensure projects are delivered to the required standards.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and submit regular site progress reports, providing updates on project status, and communicating effectively with stakeholders, including project managers and clients.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, identifying and mitigating potential risks to the project.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications and Certifications: Possess relevant qualifications, such as SMSTS, and hold a valid first aid certificate.
  • Experience and Skills: Demonstrate a proven track record of successful project delivery, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
