Job Summary

To oversee the continuing airworthiness of aircraft and coordinate limited airworthiness tasks with subcontracted organizations, working within the management system as listed on the certificates. In conjunction with the NPCAM, ensure the necessary resources are available within the CAM environment to manage continuing airworthiness activities. Ensure compliance within the CAMO environment, with knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance programs, management, and control, as well as technical knowledge of aircraft types, from maintenance to airworthiness responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Areas of Focus
  • Reviewing CAMO work instructions for compliance, processes, and effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with subcontracted airworthiness personnel through block maintenance support.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for communicating at all levels and with all stakeholders from a technical aspect and an airworthiness aspect.
  • To approve AMP revisions for all helicopter types operated in the absence of the NPCAM.
  • To provide support and coverage for all internal and external audits when the NPCAM is not available.
  • Day-to-day management of the CAMO personnel to ensure compliance within the regulatory framework.
  • Troubleshooting aircraft technical issues as they arise from an engineering technical knowledge supporting the contracted maintenance organization.
  • Liaising with OEMs and attending OEM MIT and PMR events (Airbus and Leonardo) as required.
  • Submitting technical enquiries into OEMs through OEM portals when aircraft issues arise through block maintenance and line operations.
  • To assess effectively, including risk assessing all airworthiness related publications, including airworthiness directives and alert service bulletins.
  • Ability to make decisions representing the NPCAM on all matters relating to the airworthiness of the aircraft.
  • Knowledge and understanding of risk assessment, management of change processes, and Safety Management Systems are advantageous.
Experience and Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of aircraft operated within NHV UK EC175B / AW139 & AW169 Aircraft Fleet Types is an advantage.
  • Engineering-related background demonstrating maintenance understanding and/or performance of maintenance preferably from a Part 145 background.
  • Knowledge, experience, and demonstrated involvement of continuing airworthiness environments accompanied with understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in recovering aircraft from remote locations and/or offshore locations through aircraft unserviceability.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Good computer knowledge, including use of Word, Excel, and PDF.
  • Good working knowledge of technical English (writing/reading/speaking).
  • Good communication skills are required for dealing with internal and external customers.
  • The ability to challenge decisions within the airworthiness environment.
  • Preferably a technical background with demonstrated engineering knowledge.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Regulatory understanding between EASA and UK CAA.
  • Good team leadership and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to work on own initiative.
  • Agility to move and change with the evolving company.
  • Good innovative skills to implement improvements.
  • Ability to learn new software packages such as Rusada Envision, QPULSE, etc.
  • Driven by results with a proactive approach and open to change.
  • Willing to travel as required.
