Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) at Pennine Care NHS FT. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading psychologically informed care in the team, working closely with psychiatry colleagues, and providing supervision and skills development to other team members.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of psychologically informed care in the team, working closely with psychiatry colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Provide supervision and skills development to other team members, including trainee clinical psychologists and other professionals within the MDT.
- Work with Liaison Practitioners and the MDT to develop specialist and highly complex psychological treatment plans or management for patients with complex co-occurring physical and mental ill health.
- Maintain a small therapy caseload of 2-3 cases, working with patients with complex mental health presentations and physical health conditions.
- Develop and implement research and development programmes within psychological therapy services, working with colleagues across psychological medicine services.
- Provide group supervision to psychological therapists and/or non-psychology staff, and engage a range of professional and non-professional groups in cooperative working.
- Postgraduate doctorate qualification in clinical psychology, including specific models of psychopathology, clinical, psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology.
- Additional further training and qualifications in a range of therapeutic models, including CBT, CAT, and psycho-analytic therapies.
- Extensive experience or specific training in supervision, including trainee clinical psychologists and other professionals within the MDT.
- Current registration with the Health Professions Council or Professional registration body.
- Accredited membership of an appropriate psychological therapy professional body.
- BABCP accreditation.
- Successful completion of post-qualification training in a therapeutic modality, including CBT and CAT.
- Additional further training in the use of specific psychometric and/or neuropsychological assessment tools.
The successful candidate will be required to use a car or have access to a means of mobility to travel across the Trust footprint in line with service needs. They will also be required to carry out all duties and responsibilities of the post in accordance with the Trust's Equal Opportunities and Equality and Diversity policies.
