Turner & Townsend alinea is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cost & Senior Cost Manager - Data Centre MEP to join our growing team.

As a leading cost consultancy, we are committed to delivering exceptional value to our clients through innovative solutions and a data-driven approach. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of major data centre projects across the UK and Europe.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of MEP quantity surveying and cost consultancy, encompassing pre and post contract duties.
  • Prepare detailed MEP cost estimates and cost plans, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Actively participate in the tender process, meticulously reviewing and analyzing MEP tender returns. Provide insightful recommendations to clients and guide them on optimal MEP package procurement strategies.
  • Attend client meetings, prepare comprehensive financial reports, and diligently monitor the progress of MEP packages throughout each project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with the project lead to ensure that MEP budgets are meticulously managed and adhered to from design through completion.
  • Handle post-contract responsibilities, including assessing the impact of variations, completing MEP package valuations, and evaluating and negotiating final accounts for MEP works.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, upholding the highest standards of professional competence at all times.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their development and ensuring the efficient delivery of our cost management services.
Qualifications:
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the entire project lifecycle.
  • Possess a relevant professional qualification (RICS or equivalent) or be actively pursuing it.
  • Hold a degree or HNC level qualification in a related field.
  • Demonstrate the ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Have extensive experience working on data centre projects, specifically focusing on MEP aspects.
