Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom The National Trust Full time
Rural Asset Management Officer

Overview

***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY PLEASE***

We are currently seeking a Rural Asset Management Officer to enhance our operational team.

This role is crucial in our estate management teams, where you will provide essential coordination for various projects and dependable technical support services. Your expertise will be invaluable in guiding the team through our administrative frameworks and fostering continuous improvement in our operational methodologies.

Our estate management teams comprise professionals skilled in managing a diverse range of properties across various regions.

These teams are engaged in the complete tenancy lifecycle for a variety of land and property types, including residential, commercial, and agricultural, ensuring their ongoing maintenance and investment.

This position is based in a regional office, and we are open to discussing a hybrid working arrangement that suits both you and the organization.

This is a fixed-term position due to the temporary absence of a colleague on maternity leave. The duration of this contract is uncertain but is expected to be less than 12 months.

Work Environment

You will collaborate with a team of building and estate management experts, playing a vital role in enabling them to deliver exceptional estate management across our portfolio.

The effective management of our tenancies, assets, and tenant relationships is fundamental to our conservation efforts, and this role is integral to that mission.

Key Responsibilities

Provide essential support to our estate management team, collaborating with professionals to execute core and project-related tasks.

Assist in the implementation of new administrative systems while maximizing efficiencies from existing processes and information management. Create communication materials to highlight successes and promote the team's work to a diverse audience.

Engage in project delivery, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and coordinating both internal teams and external contractors. You will also lead continuous improvement initiatives alongside fellow Rural Asset Management Officers.

Candidate Profile

We encourage you to review the full role profile for this position in the attached document. While we appreciate that you may not possess every skill or experience listed, we welcome your application if you have:

  • Strong client service capabilities, enabling effective communication with internal teams, tenants, partners, and external stakeholders.

  • An understanding of governance processes and their significance.
  • The ability to gather, analyze, interpret, and present management information to aid decision-making.

  • A collaborative spirit, working as part of a team to achieve optimal results while sharing best practices and innovative ideas.
