Education Service Delivery Manager

We are seeking an experienced Education Service Delivery Manager to join our team at MFK Recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established client and contribute to the delivery of high-quality education services.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work from home and travel to various education sites in Slough, Oxfordshire, Hayes, and West London. The salary is £40,000, with a performance-related bonus of £5,000 per annum (paid quarterly).

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage Helpdesk Engineers and work closely with other teams to meet customer requirements efficiently.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the service manager on service-related incidents and problems.
  • Investigate and resolve major impacting service incidents, identifying root causes and implementing mitigating actions.
  • Provide level 1, 2, and 3 server, network, and desktop technical support, diagnosing customer issues and providing a high level of first-time fix.
Requirements:
  • 2 years' experience as a senior engineer supporting schools or colleges.
  • 6+ months' experience as a network manager/technical lead at a school or college.
  • Experience in managing or supporting projects.
  • Experience of working in a customer-facing role.
Key Skills:
  • Intermediate level of knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • All MS Windows server platforms.
  • All MS Windows desktop platforms.
  • PC/Server hardware - upgrade, both hardware and firmware, RAID configurations, iLO.
  • Active Directory - configure sites and services, resolve issues.
  • Group policies - create, break down, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Firewalls, routers & VPN's - install, configure, and troubleshoot.
  • Office 365 - create accounts, break down, troubleshoot issues, AD sync, etc.
  • Microsoft Hyper v/VM Ware - basic skills.
  • Veeam - setup, implement, and troubleshoot local and datacentre-based backups.
  • Switches - install and configure, setup VLAN's, tagging, break down, troubleshoot issues.
