We are seeking a skilled Support Worker to join our Community Connector team, working with individuals affected by alcohol and drug use. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the harm caused by substance misuse and a sympathetic approach to those struggling with addiction.
Aquarius, a charity dedicated to helping people overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs, and gambling, is part of the 'One Recovery Buckinghamshire' partnership. We provide support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire, and this role is a key part of our efforts.
The successful candidate will work closely with our team to provide assessment and engagement services, supporting individuals to achieve their goals and improve their well-being. A flexible approach and commitment to client-centred care are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment and engagement services to individuals affected by substance misuse
- Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement support plans
- Maintain accurate records and fulfill data requirements
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
Requirements:
- NVQ 2/3 in Social Care or willingness to attain
- Experience working with vulnerable adults and children
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to health and safety protocols
