About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Mission Development Lead to oversee and enhance our church mission and outreach initiatives. Our organization is committed to serving and uplifting individuals in the local and broader community, regardless of their backgrounds, by creating welcoming environments where everyone is cherished, supported, and encouraged to fulfill their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address the needs of the local community, facilitating pathways for individuals to engage with and become part of the church.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the community center's programs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, best practices, and the mission and policies of the organization.
  • Manage the community café operations, including food procurement, equipment maintenance, and providing pastoral and practical support to visitors seeking assistance.
  • Evaluate community needs and propose enhancements to the overall community center program in line with the Corps Mission Journal.
  • Design, implement, and assess specific initiatives to ensure they effectively serve the local community.

  • Possesses a strong, vibrant Christian faith and actively practices their faith.
  • Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates a genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Note: There is an Occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practising Christian.
