Work Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary Range: £41,000 - £44,000 per annum

 Initial salary placement will typically be at the entry point of the pay scale.

Objective: The role involves ensuring that all mechanical engineering maintenance tasks and services executed by or on behalf of The Highland Council are conducted safely and effectively managed throughout the Council's property portfolio.

The incumbent will provide: a professional service, technical guidance, and insights on all facets of electrical engineering installations, encompassing management, design, operation, and maintenance, in accordance with the Council's policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Additionally, the role includes contributing to the establishment of standards for the specification, design, and oversight of electrical engineering services.

Qualifications

Candidates must be able to travel efficiently between various work sites within Highland to fulfill the operational needs of the Service.

A minimum of HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering is required, along with relevant experience in managing electrical engineering installations and administering electrical engineering maintenance contracts for non-domestic/public buildings.

Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, NBS) is essential.

Progressing towards corporate membership of a relevant professional organization is preferred.
