About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Stage at the Liverpool Empire Theatre. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day aspects of the stage infrastructure, ensuring a smooth get in, fit up, and get out for visiting productions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of casual stage crew and dressers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of productions.
- Work closely with the Head of Lighting and Sound to oversee senior technicians and communicate with visiting productions and show management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including LOLER and Working at Height.
- Develop and implement effective procedures for get ins, fit ups, and get outs.
Requirements
- Significant prior experience in a technical theatre setting, with a focus on stage, rigging, and flying systems.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team, with demonstrable people management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and experience in leading on get ins, fit ups, and get outs.
