About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Jackson Fire & Security. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of field-based Fire & Security Engineers and the Operations office, ensuring customers are serviced on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service and Retention
    • Develop strong relationships with customers, focusing on customer service, retention, and growth.
  • Team Management
    • Manage, motivate, and support field engineers to ensure they have the necessary resources and support to deliver exceptional service.
  • Work Allocation and Management
    • Distribute and allocate work to field engineers, ensuring completion within agreed timescales.
  • Reporting and Monitoring
    • Monitor and report weekly on key deliverables and KPIs in line with our NSI and BAFE accreditations and business targets.
  • Customer Queries and Resolution
    • Resolve all customer queries promptly, ensuring delivery of the highest standards of service.
  • Inventory and Fleet Management
    • Monitor materials and equipment, ensuring stock levels are correct and manage the fleet to ensure adherence to standards and maintenance schedules.
  • Supplier Liaison
    • Liaise with suppliers to ensure best price practice and stock availability.
Requirements
  • Proven experience within a similar operations role managing engineers, ideally gained within the fire protection or security industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Clear, effective, and influential communication skills.
  • Leadership, motivational, and coaching skills to inspire team members.
  • IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft and experience of using CRM systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
