As a rapidly expanding organization, we are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support our team across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate with company directors, senior quantity surveyors, and project managers to assist in the administration and management of project costs and contracts.

This role encompasses all phases of work, from initial tendering to final account closure, with a focus on minimizing costs while maximizing value for money and maintaining required standards and quality.

The successful candidate will also engage with design team members to provide insights on cost-related decisions that are crucial for effective project management. A degree qualification and experience with JCT contracts are essential.

The ideal candidate will have a background in managing high-end residential development projects valued between £7m and £20m.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing subcontract management from order placement to final account
  • Preparing and agreeing on interim payment applications
  • Ensuring timely procurement, negotiation, and administration of subcontracts in line with procurement strategies
  • Collaborating closely with project management and liaising with the design team and other stakeholders
  • Providing regular financial and commercial reports to senior QS and directors
  • Monitoring project progress against timelines, including subcontractor performance, to support site management
  • Engaging in necessary discussions to safeguard our commercial interests
  • Preparing cost reconciliation statements.
