Role Overview:

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Senior Cost Consultant to join our Property team, delivering significant projects across residential & commercial development throughout the UK.

Our team is involved in delivering some of the UK's largest and most exciting projects in the residential & commercial development sectors, with project values ranging from £10 million to £100 million. We have a fantastic pipeline of projects, which will provide you with the opportunity to grow as an individual and work on industry-leading projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing feasibility studies and presenting options directly to clients
  • Estimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan
  • Tendering and procuring construction works, including providing procurement advice to clients
  • Dealing effectively with post-contract cost variances and change control processes
  • Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects
  • Producing monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to clients
  • Inputting into value engineering
  • Negotiating and agreeing final accounts
  • Interfacing with clients and other consultants at all project stages
  • Strong knowledge of the JCT Contracts

Requirements:

  • Degree-educated professional with relevant skills and experience to actively deliver projects
  • Good previous residential, commercial, and mixed-use cost management experience is desirable
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to liaise with peers and senior colleagues and build and maintain relationships
  • A logical approach and ability to think through complex issues to coordinate multi-faceted aspects of projects
  • Technically strong, with a good understanding of commercial management principles
