Senior AI/ML Engineer

As a Senior AI/ML Engineer at Roke, you will be responsible for delivering novel solutions to our customers' challenging problems, leading teams of engineers in delivering a mixture of small, early-stage research projects and algorithmic components of larger, multi-disciplinary development programmes.

We are seeking an experienced researcher or developer with a strong interest in state-of-the-art AI and Machine Learning technologies to join our team. You will work alongside our customers to solve their complex and unique challenges, providing technical expertise across a broad range of AI/ML disciplines, including Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, and NLP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceive novel applications of AI/ML techniques, particularly adapting and applying academic research.
  • Lead engineering teams on AI/ML related R&D projects, providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Support business winning efforts by contributing to early-stage client interactions and leading technical bidding activities.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in AI/ML R&D, computer vision, reinforcement learning, or NLP.
  • Significant experience conceiving novel applications of AI/ML techniques.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering and experience of working in, and leading, agile teams.
