Job Summary

As a key member of the Royal Engagements team, you will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering high-profile engagements by His Majesty the King and joint engagements by The King and Queen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Private Secretaries to develop and execute a diverse programme of engagements, ensuring each event has clearly defined objectives and overseeing all aspects of planning and logistics.
  • Lead the logistical planning of engagements, including detailed timelines, task delegation, and responsibility breakdowns for all key stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Coordinate communication between internal departments to ensure all logistical elements are aligned and cohesive, fostering a collaborative approach to engagement execution.
  • Conduct site visits to assess logistical, security, and protocol needs, refining engagement plans to ensure optimal execution and risk mitigation.
  • Provide on-site support during engagements, managing logistics in real-time and serving as the central point of contact for all involved parties.
Person Specification
  • You will have previous experience in event management, with a track record of managing high-profile events or programme management, eager to apply your skills in a new environment.
  • Project management and organisational skills will be vital, along with a detail-oriented and analytical approach, and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to draft, brief, and present complex information with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility at a senior level, both internally and externally, and manage stakeholders effectively.
  • A proactive and resourceful approach, with the ability to adapt efficiently and calmly in fast-paced environments.
  • A general knowledge of current affairs, nationally and internationally, and an understanding of the UK and Commonwealth, along with strong diplomacy and the capability to work across international boundaries.
