Position: Residential Building Surveyor
Department: Repairs Client Team
Reporting To: Disrepair Manager
Employment Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Compensation: Umbrella CIS £350 per day

Overview: Join a progressive council dedicated to the upkeep and enhancement of our residential properties. We are looking for a committed Building Surveyor to become part of our proactive Repairs Client Team. This position presents a valuable opportunity to ensure the integrity and safety of housing within our community, playing a crucial role in ongoing improvements and adherence to current housing regulations.

Role Purpose: The Building Surveyor will be essential in managing and supervising a variety of repair and maintenance initiatives. These initiatives encompass disrepair tasks, renovations, vacant property works, intricate repairs, and remediation of damp and mold issues. The surveyor will guarantee compliance with significant housing legislation and aid in the strategic formulation and implementation of maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Service Delivery:
    • Supervise and ensure the execution of disrepair tasks, renovations, vacant property works, intricate repairs, routine repairs, and damp and mold remediation.
    • Conduct thorough pre, mid, and post inspections for all repair and maintenance projects.
    • Oversee repair and maintenance needs for a portfolio of approximately 17,000 residential units, including structural, fabric, internal, and communal areas.
