About the Role

As a Care Assistant at Barchester Healthcare, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist residents with their daily living needs, providing support and companionship to enhance their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support residents with their personal care needs, including toileting and incontinence care
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks, ensuring residents' dietary needs are met
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities and engage in social interactions
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' condition or behavior to the care team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:

  • Experience of caring for older people, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to care
  • The ability to work as part of a team and prioritize tasks effectively
